Daily bible reading plans
Nothing is more rewarding than drawing closer to Jesus through His word, the Bible. As Christians, we need Biblical nourishment to ensure proper and consistent spiritual growth in our daily walk with Jesus. Just like we need to eat nutritious food for a healthy life, we need to digest God's word for a healthy spiritual life. Not only does the Bible set forth God's plan of salvation for the world, it also equips us to serve God. Reading God's word and applying its principles to your life will ensure that you become a strong and mature Christian. The Bible will show you the sin in your life how to get rid of it.
Daily reading and study of God's word will help you to live victoriously over Satan and his temptations. When Satan tried to tempt Jesus, Jesus quoted scriptures from Deuteronomy to resist Satan. Matthew 4:1-11. Jesus told Satan, "It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God." Matthew 4:4. It is the power of God's word that will give you the strength to say no to sin.
The Bible also offers us insight and instruction on every issue we may face in our everyday life. Questions such as how to deal with family problems, how to deal with finances, dealing with workplace issues, how to be a good spouse and parent, what to look for in a possible mate, and what is the real meaning of life are all explored in God's word. Like the psalmist said, "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." Psalms 119:105.
